要旨：A spatial labor market model is developed in which both job-matching behavior and residential-location behavior are treated simultaneously. Equilibrium for this system involves the interaction of two markets: a spatially concentrated (CBD) labor market in which unemployed workers compete for jobs, and a spatially dispersed land market in which all workers compete for residential land. The most important linkages between these markets is in terms of the differing job-search intensities chosen by unemployed workers at various distances from the CBD. The possible equilibrium location patterns are shown to differ only in terms of whether unemployed workers occupy the central core around the CBD, the periphery of the city, or possibly both. Here the analysis focuses on a special (but representative) instance of the latter case involving only two levels of search intensity at equilibrium: full search and a positive minimal level of search. Such core-periphery equilibria are shown to be unique, and a set of sufficient conditions for their existence is established.

要旨：We investigate the role of skill heterogeneity in explaining locational patterns induced by pecuniary externalities (Krugman 1991). In our setting, sellers with higher skills better perform in the marketplace, and their sales are larger. Selling to distant locations leads to lower sales because of both (monetary) transport costs and communication costs. A symmetry-breaking result is obtained: symmetric configurations cannot be stable, and regional inequality is inevitable. The relatively skilled choose to stay in one location, while the relatively unskilled in the other. The extent of interregional inequality is positively correlated with the extent of interpersonal skill inequality.

要旨：農村・都市部門の相互依存による累積的因果関係モデルを構築する。 農村部門は労働力のほかに都市部門でつくられた差別化された財を必要とする。 この仮定のもとでは、農村部門の生産性は都市部門の特化の度合いに依存する。 反対に、都市部門の特化の度合いは、農村部門の生産性の向上によって、 どのくらいの労働力が農村部門から解き放たれるかに依存する。 この相互依存関係が複数均衡を生じさせるメカニズムを分析する。 さらに、複数均衡の厚生水準、政策的含意についても検討する。

要旨：日本企業の海外直接投資に関して，製造業企業の研究は蓄積しているが，サービス>業企業の研究は遅れている。本研究では，日本企業の海外直接投資のキー・エージェントとしての役割を果たしてきた総合商社にライトをあて，おもにヨーロッパとアジアにおける投資展開を空間的・経済地理学的視点から究明する。

要旨：発展途上国における、農村・都市労働移動の問題は、開発経済学において大きな関心を集めて来たが、移住の意思決定に際し重要であると考えられる住居あるいは土地市場に関する問題は、これまで考慮されてこなかった。この論文では、農村・都市労働移動モデルに都市経済学の理論を導入し、労働移動に対する土地市場の役割を考察する。

要旨：大都市に特徴的な通勤混雑の疲労コストを、個票ベースの家賃データを用いて金銭換算する。さらにこの疲労コスト使って混雑から生じる外部不経済効果―すなわち、疲労増大効果―を導出し、通勤混雑緩和策のひとつである混雑料金をいくらにすればよいかということを提示する。分析対象路線はJR中央線である。
