要旨：The purpose of this study is to examine applicability of agglomeration effect on tourism economics. For this purpose, this study test the hypothesis that tourists have "love of variety''. To test the hypothesis, we suggest a theoretical model of tourists' destination choice, which is based on the Dixit-Stiglitz model of monopolistic competition. We test the hypothesis using data on five residential countries and nine destination countries in the EU. The results show the number of firms in the destination affects the tourists' destination choice. In other words, tourists' preference exhibits love of variety. Hence, the theory of agglomeration can apply to tourism economics.

【集中講義】 概要：集積の経済を考慮しつつ、かつ実多地域経済を前提とした構造モデル分析が浸透しつつある。この現状を踏まえ、本講義では構造モデル分析の前提知識として重要となる理論および数値解析技術に入門し、今後の研究展望を議論する。まず、均衡モデルの性質を調べ求解するために有用な相補性問題・変分不等式問題の理論と、複数均衡下における均衡解の挙動を理論的・数値的に調べる上で重要となる分岐理論に入門する。例として、比較的単純な仮想多地域経済における内生的な集積形成の厳密理論解析および数値解析を議論する。次に、大規模な均衡問題に対する汎用的な数値解析技法を導入し、応用例として、スーパーコンピュータを用いた多地域・多産業モデルの数値解析を議論する。更に、複数均衡を前提とした実空間を対象とする反実仮想実験への展望とその課題について整理する。
